Visa
Requirements
If you do not hold a British or Irish passport, you’ll likely need a Student Visa. For the latest information and costs, please refer to the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) website.
As a registered sponsor, Academy of Live Technology will issue your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) to begin your visa application once you have:
The UK Government is urging all those across the UK who use a physical immigration document to take immediate action to transition to an eVisa, as part of plans to digitise the UK border and immigration system.

Visa Application Deadline
You will need to apply for your visa about 3 months before your course begins. Late applications may delay your entry to the UK, and you may not receive permissions in time for you to start your studies.
Language requirements
To succeed in your chosen course at Academy of Live Technology, you’ll need a strong command of English. If you require a UK Student Visa, you must meet the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) minimum B2 standard on the CEFR scale.
We accept all UKVI-approved Secure English Language Tests (SELT). For more information, please visit the Government website here.
For undergraduate courses (BA and FdA) you will need a minimum score of IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each component, or a SELT equivalent to this score.
For postgraduate programmes (MA and MSc) you will need a minimum score of IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in each component, or a SELT equivalent to this score.
External English tests may have a 2-year validity period.

The UCAS 2025 deadline is 29 January 2025. However, we are able to consider international student applications until 30 June 2025 if there are places available on the courses. We strongly encourage you to apply as early as you can.
